![]() The bottom half can transform into something called “Performers” which are automation-style modulation sequencers.įollowing the Reaktor idea is a new routing section that lets you freely patch the various modules together however you see fit. There appear to be three modulators – two envelopes and a multi-wave LFO, although the text says that there are “eight configurable modulators”. ![]() There are two noise sources, a Blue Monark filter, phase, reverb and delay effects. What we now know is that MASSIVE X is a dual wavetable synthesizer with phase modulators and room for three additional syncable oscillators. I guess ultimately all the NI synths are built in Reaktor but the original Massive had a lot of individuality in tone and style from other Reaktor Ensembles. The first thing that strikes me is how similar it looks to Reaktor Blocks. Now the time and technology are ripe for Native Instruments to have a crack, although their web site and manual deliberately omit the words Moog or Minimoog, preferring king of monophonic analog synths instead. In the meantime Native Instruments has released more images to keep us salivating.
